The thermal water
The thermal water is a low-hardness, natrium hydrocarbon with sodium bicarbonate, fluoride. In 1993 it was classified as mineral water and in 2004 it was classified as medicinal water. It is well suited for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders of the wear and tear joints and spine, chronic inflammatory joints, rheumatic complaints and treatment after accidents.
The thermal water serves the refreshment of the body, the soul and the mind at the same time. By conditioning our bodies, we improve our quality of life.

150 meters from the Thermal Village, in Heart of Szigetköz is a pearl called Lipót Thermalbath and Spa which is one of the most modern baths of Hungary in its appearance and technical facilities. The open air bath komplex welcomes its visitors two thermal pools, a swimming pool, children pools, an experience pool with whirling corridor, jacuzzi, massage effects, a 1200 m2 beach pool ( wave-ball, huge slides, mini water park ), a fabulous island and watermill-sauna in the calm and beautiful natural surroundings.
The Thermalbath of 10 hectares watered green lawn gives in addition to swimming and bathing,are at disposal for international beach volley ball and beach football courts,, massage, lake with special fishes from Danube and at weekends varied programme and concerts on the stage of the bath.
One day in Lipót Thermalbath and Spa is not only bathing experience however a whole day relaxation and refreshment in the beautiful natural surroundings for all ages.

The village of Lipót is a romantic settlement in the heart of Szigetköz. It is located 27 km far from Győr, 15 km from Mosonmagyaróvár and 35 km from the Slovak and Austrian borders. Its values are unmatched. The proximity of the Danube, the natural beauty of the landscape, the rich mineral waters and the thermal baths, as well as the fishing lakes, make the village really special, light and attractive.
In the last centuries Lipót was known as its famous fishing village. Today’s village picture is largely determined by houses built after the 1954 flood. The life of the village was greatly influenced by the regulation of the Danube in 1885. A large part of the population was forced to change their occupation and, leaving the old crafts, began to work in agriculture. However, the small town of 700 people nowadays mainly lives in tourism.
The village has a Hungarian-English languages school, a sports facility and a medical office.

Szigetköz
One of the most beautiful regions of our country, the largest island, the Szigetköz, surrounded by the Great and Moson Danube, is not accidentally called the gift of the Danube, because the area was built up by the rivers. Over the centuries, reefs, cones, islands have emerged, breaking the rivers into many tiny branches, creating the textural, diverse, and mysterious archipelago of the Little Plain.
The landscape is rich in flora and fauna, but it is a real paradise for anglers and fish enthusiasts, as almost 80% of the domestic fish species are found in the area. In addition to rivers and backwaters, smaller and larger mining lakes also offer excellent fishing opportunities, making Szigetköz a true fishing paradise. The Old Danube and its fantastic branch system, the Mosoni Danube, are wonderful natural waters that are a real challenge for both shore and boat fishermen, so you should listen to the advice of the locals. There are two fishing lakes in Lipót that give fishing lovers a chance. In the lakes there are carp, pike, amur and bream fish species, as well as catfish on the Great Danube. You can also buy a daily ticket at Lipot.
Water tour lovers can walk along the Danube branches of the gallery forest area, where the varied sections promise an unforgettable experience for those arriving by kayak or canoe. Hiking and carriage rides organized by the equestrian courts of the region are popular. Part of the Danube International Cycle Route is the section through Szigetköz, along with the embankment and the small bypass roads. Delicious food, (vinegar fish, which is native to this area), diverse programs and hospitable people await visitors to Szigetköz.

Church in Lipót
The most famous of these is the 204 m2 church dedicated to the memory of Pope St. Clement I. The Roman Catholic church was built in 1777 in Baroque style.
Airport
Next to the Thermal Bath & Spa there is the IV. Class A airport, which is suitable for small aircraft and sports jets.
Danube Lakes
The village is bordered on the north by the 68-hectare “Danube Lake”, a nesting and habitat for waterfowl and a real paradise for water and swamp vegetation.
Storks and birds
There are seven stork nests in Lipot, unfortunately not all of them live. Black stork is quite common on the outskirts of the village, nesting in floodplain forests. Sometimes a group of 50-60 can be seen from a big heron.
Mosonmagyaróvár
The capital of Szigetköz, the center of the region. It is 15 km far from Lipót, on the border of Slovakia and Austria. Renowned for its high quality dental services, the downtown and surrounding area offer great shopping opportunities.
Chestnut Alley
It is worth to visit the protected chestnut tree line connecting Lipót with Darnózseli. Particularly during flowering, around mid-May, it provides an unforgettable sight. Its length is 2800 m. You get the feeling of going through a tunnel.
National Park
On the banks of the Dead Danube, the Szigetköz Landscape Protection Area of the Fertő-Hanság National Park has created a nature trail, with rainstorms, rest areas and bird watching. Our post-rehabilitation lakes also provide a beautiful sight.
